Four western Penn State campuses gather for engagement expo
Penn State News. Kerchinski has a long history in connecting students to industry partners and the community. Student engagement, he said, is already deeply embedded in PennTAP’s grant activities. He said he was inspired to organize the expo by the work that is being done through initiatives such as Invent Penn State, involving campuses and communities across the Commonwealth.

Learning Factory Students Collaborate with PennTAP
PennTAP proposed, developed, and funded a program for students from the Penn State College of Engineering Bernard M. Gordon Learning Factory to help improve internal assessment tools and procedures.
Manufacturing Line Updates Save Energy and Boost Efficiency
A PennTAP Technical Advisor, along with six senior engineering students, worked closely with CTC Packaging Maintenance Director Chris Groger to assess and improve sawline operations. While the team was on-site, they also performed a lighting assessment.
The USEDA University Center at Penn State
The Pennsylvania Regional Entrepreneurship Assistance Program (PA REAP) is funded by a grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration to make the resources of PennTAP and Penn State available for statewide economic development. These resources include specialized research, outreach, technology transfer, and commercialization capabilities, as well as faculty expertise and the use of sophisticated laboratories.…
PennTAP Helps Coca-Cola Facility Identify Environmental and Cost-Saving Opportunities
PennTAP, IMC, and Coca-Cola collaborated to develop a value stream map for one of their water bottling lines. While on-site, PennTAP also completed a lighting assessment and a heater survey.
