Join PennTAP as we kick off the 2017 Global Entrepreneurship Week with She Started It, a feature-length documentary film on women who are tech entrepreneurs, shot on location in Silicon Valley, NYC, Vietnam, Mississippi, and more, that aims to highlight successful role models for young women. It is the first film to show a behind the scenes view of running a tech startup as a young woman. This event will start with a viewing of the film, and then will be open for live discussion.
Attendees will learn about the startup challenges and successes of entrepreneurial women from various areas of the world. The moderated session will allow students to ask questions and learn from a Penn State alumna, Melissa Schipke, who is currently building a successful business in Pennsylvania.
