Metal Manufacturing Water Conservation & Pollution Prevention
Reduce water waste, lower costs, and improve efficiency with PennTAP’s free 1:1 coaching sessions. This tailored, three-session program helps metal manufacturers analyze water use, identify cost-saving pollution prevention strategies, and explore funding options for implementation.
How It Works:
✅ Session 1: Data Collection & Process Review
Identify a key manufacturing process that uses water and generates waste. Receive detailed data collection instructions and submit relevant information, including water and wastewater bills, for analysis.
✅ Session 2: Waste Reduction & Pollution Prevention Strategies
PennTAP will review your water usage and waste data, discuss your company’s reduction goals, and present pollution prevention alternatives tailored to your operations. Selected strategies will be further researched for feasibility and impact.
✅ Session 3: Cost-Saving & Efficiency Improvements
PennTAP will present an analysis of selected pollution prevention measures, estimating potential water, energy, and cost savings. You’ll receive customized recommendations, referrals to implementation partners, and guidance on funding opportunities to support next steps.
Flexible Scheduling:
Each coaching session lasts 30–60 minutes and is scheduled at your convenience, with at least two weeks between sessions over a three-month period.
Comprehensive Follow-Up:
At the end of the program, manufacturers will receive an engagement letter summarizing key recommendations and funding referrals, providing a clear roadmap for implementation.
