This forum will focus on industry trends towards decarbonization through:
- Renewable energy technologies being deployed locally
- PPL’s research and development initiatives
- Technical assistance provided by the PA Solar Center
- Penn State Hazleton’s unique engineering program focused on Alternative Energy and Power Generation
Participants will be asked to consider the region’s capacity to meet industry environmental sustainability goals in the context of future growth and economic development in the Hazleton Area.
Who should attend: industry executives, economic development professionals, developers, policymakers, community leaders, researchers, entrepreneurs, educators, and students.

About the Northeastern PA Technology, Economy, Community (TEC) Talks
In partnership with local industries, non-profit organizations, Penn State faculty, and Penn State Commonwealth Campuses in Northeast Pennsylvania, PennTAP is hosting a forum series designed to spur discussion on emerging technologies and their potential to drive the regional economy, as well as identify use-inspired research and workforce education needs.
