Lakshya Thinakaran is a graduate student at The Pennsylvania State University pursuing her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering. Her areas of interest include operations research, data analysis, project management and scheduling. She has work experience of almost three years under the Transportation and Logistics division where she has implemented several process improvement automation projects for imports, freight, exports and has led dock scheduling projects for all facilities across India. She is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt and had done her certification course on Lean Leadership. Her primary area of work as a graduate assistant at PennTAP involves energy and operational assessments, on-site pollution prevention and energy assessments for Pennsylvania manufacturing companies.
