Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center (DVIRC)

Duquesne Light Co. (DLC)
For more than a century, DLC has been working around the clock to deliver a safe and reliable supply of electricity to nearly 600,000 customers in Allegheny and Beaver counties.

Global Building Network (GBN)
The built environment accounts for a significant percentage of the world’s energy and resource use and is one of the top greenhouse gas emitters. In the developed world, buildings consumer over 70% of the electrical power generated and 40% of the carbon dioxide emissions from combustion.
The rate at which these issues are being address needs to be drastically accelerated.
The GBN is an initiative of Penn State and the United Nations Commission for Europe. It aims to advance building science, construction process, and building management in order to create an international framework that will make buildings more sustainable, more efficient, and healthier for people.
Green Building Alliance (GBA)
GBA advances innovation in the built environment by empowering people to create environmentally, economically, and socially vibrant places. GBA is one of the oldest regional green building organizations in the United States and proudly serves Pittsburgh and the 26 counties of Western Pennsylvania, with stakeholders across the Mid-Atlantic, United States, and the world.
The Innovation Partnership
The Innovation Partnership is a consortium of economic development and business assistance organizations located throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Their goal is to help early-stage technology companies in Pennsylvania secure federal funding opportunities.

IMC is dedicated to driving economic success and profitable growth for the 12 counties they serve and the entire state. Objective, expert advice and actionable solutions are available to small- and medium-sized manufacturers through IMC events and resources.

Manufacturer and Business Association (MBA)
The MBA, founded in 1905, is dedicated to helping employers face challenges by delivering services that lower the cost of doing business, ease the burden of compliance and increase productivity for its members.
The MBA accomplishes this mission by providing exclusive, valued-added services that can help businesses navigate ever-changing federal and state laws and can provide them with the training to take their workforce to the next level.

Northwestern Industrial Resource Center (NWIRC)
The NWIRC enhances the competitiveness and growth of small- and medium-sized manufacturers in northwest Pennsylvania by working with clients to improve productivity and technological performance.
PA Manufacturer’s Association (PMA)
Founded in 1909 by Bucks County industrialist Joseph Grundy, the PMA is the nonprofit statewide trade organization representing the manufacturing sector in Pennsylvania’s public policy process.

Penn State Center Pittsburgh

Penn State College of Engineering Learning Factory
The Bernard M. Gordon Learning Factory is a hands-on facility for engineering students to use in conjunction with their courses, capstone design, and research projects. The Learning Factory provides modern design, prototyping, and manufacturing facilities, including machining, 3D printing, welding, metrology, and CAD/CAM.
Penn State Institute for Computational and Data Sciences (ICDS)

PA SBDC’s mission is to provide entrepreneurs and small business owners with the knowledge needed to make smart decisions and prosper.
Susquehanna Economic Development Association—Council of Governments (SEDA-COG)
SEDA-COG is a regional multi-county development agency which provides leadership, expertise, and services to communities, businesses, institutions, and residents. SEDA-COG seeks to enhance growth opportunities in an environmentally sensitive manner while retaining the region’s predominantly rural character.
Sustainable Pittsburgh
Through its years of engagement with businesses, municipalities, and nonprofits, Sustainable Pittsburgh has maintained a strong pulse on the region’s sustainability challenges and opportunities. From air and water quality to energy efficiency, recycling and waste management, to land use and transportation, workforce development, healthy people and economic prosperity, Sustainable Pittsburgh remains at the forefront of working with organizations to integrate more sustainable development for southwestern Pennsylvania.

West Penn Power Sustainable Energy Fund (WPPSEF)
The WPPSEF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that invests in the deployment of sustainable energy technologies that benefit West Penn Power ratepayers in Pennsylvania. WPPSEF investments are focused in three broad categories:
- Deployment of sustainable and clean energy technologies
- Deployment of energy efficiency and conservation technologies
- Facilitating economic development, environmental betterment, and public education as they relate to sustainable energy deployment in the WPP service region
Women for a Healthy Environment (WHE)
Following the 2007 Women’s Health and the Environment conference, a number of women were asked to volunteer their expertise to determine how to best educate and involve women, and the men who love them, about issues related to women’s health and the environment. Women across western Pennsylvania who had a common goal of making our region as strong and healthy as it can be joined this network, which is now known as WHE.
Healthy Schools PA program is designed to empower parents, students, educators, staff and administrators to take an active role in creating healthy school environments. By providing tools, guides, and other resources, Healthy Schools PA acts as a bridge between communities and their schools, effectively creating an advocacy network capable of bringing about social and policy change throughout the school system.
